

At very minimum 10,000. This was a mass migration coming from both the northeast and northwest. These are two different migration routes that seem to converge at the base of the sawtooths. I heard them all afternoon (I was not here in the morning). I could not count perfectly because of very low cloud cover that blocked my view of some of the flocks. I could still hear them flying over at 10 pm when it was fully dark. I counted 16 Ross's Geese in the mix. The vast majority of the birds were coming from the northwest, but some large flocks came from the Challis direction as well.
